Description of the birch leaf roller's incisions for different leaves

Abstract

A new biomathematical description is given for the shape of the birch leaf roller's (Deporaus betulae) incisions. These incisions are investigated for different leaves. The theoretical patterns agree well with the real ones, and the presented mathematical expressions describe well the shape of the real incisions.
