Abstract
An analytical procedure has been developed for the non ambiguous analysis of carbetamide and of its metabolite aniline in soil and in lettuce by the use of two derivatization procedures. The derivatized products were detected and measured by gas liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry. The analytical procedure has been applied to the soil and lettuce analyses of three lettuce crops made successively on the same field, each planting being preceeded by a carbetamide treatment.
