Zusammenfassung
Zur Beurteilung der lymphogenen Metastasierung transplantabler Rattentumoren gehört die Untersuchung der Lymphe aus dem Ductus thoracicus (D.th.). Dazu sind erforderlich:

Eine einfache Technik der Lymphgewinnung aus dem D.th. der lebenden Ratte.

2.
Ein Inventar der in dieser Lymphe bei normalen und tumortragenden Ratten vorkommenden Zelltypen.
Die D.th.-Lymphe normaler Tiere enthält zur Hauptsache große und kleine Lymphocyten, daneben Zellen der monocytären und plasmocytären Reihe. In kleiner Zahl kommen außerdem Gewebsbasophile, Granulocyten und Erythrocyten vor. Nach s.c., i.m. und i.p. Implantation des Walker-Carcinosarkoms 256 kann das übertreten von Tumorzellen in die D.th.-Lymphe festgestellt werden. Ihre Abgrenzung muß vor allem gegenüber unreifen Elementen der monocytären und plasmocytären Reihe erfolgen, deren Zahl bei tumortragenden Tieren deutlich erhöht ist. Die Monocyten weisen zudem eine stark ausgeprägte Athro- und Phagocytose auf.
