Summary

A simple account is given of television principles.

The underwater television equipment which has been developed for marine biological and related work is described in non technical terms paying particular attention to those features considered to be of value in this type of work.

An account of the handling of the equipment is given.

Zusammenfassung

Nach einer einfachen Darlegung der Grundlagen des Fernsehens wird die für meeresbiologische und verwandte Aufgaben entwickelte Unterwasser-Fernseh-Vorrichtung tunlichst unter Vermeidung fernseh-technischer Ausdrücke beschrieben, wobei die für diese Art von Aufgaben als wichtig und wertvoll erachteten Punkte besonders berücksichtigt werden.

Die Handhabung des Gerätes wird erklärt.

Résumé

Après avoir donné un exposé compréhensible des principes généraux de la télévision on décrit en termes non-techniques et en tenant compte des caractéristiques jugées importantes pour ce genre de travaux l'appareil de télévision sousmarine qui fut dévéloppé pour l'application dans le secteur de la biologie et dans des domaines associés.

La dernière partie du travail est consacrée à l'explication de la manipulation de l'appareil.
