Abstract

This paper is concerned with the optimization of base load production of a real world storage power station system. Both mathematical models and numerical techniques are presented. Dynamic Programming is used for the numerical solution. A sensitivity analysis of the results is made and a discussion of the profit of the power plant company is given.
