Zusammenfassung

Kernlose, aus der Apikal-und Basalregion stammende Teilstücke („Vorderstücke” und „Hinterstücke”) und kernlose, durch Amputation des Rhizoides hergestellte ganze Zellen vonAcetabularia mediterranea sind in einem begrenzten Zeitraum zur Synthese von Chloroplasten-und „löslichen Proteinen” (cytoplasmatischen) befähigt.

Die Synthese der löslichen Proteine wird in allen untersuchten Teilen nach etwa 21 Tagen beendet. Die Zunahme dieser Proteine beträgt bei kernlosen Teilstücken innerhalb dieser Zeitspanne etwa 150%, bei kernlosen ganzen Zellen maximal 220% ihres Anfangsgehaltes.

Das Verhalten der Chloroplastenproteine läßt eine deutliche Abhängigkeit von der Herkunft der untersuchten Teile erkennen. Die Synthese läuft in wachsenden „Vorderstücken” und in kernlosen Zellen in der Regel bis zum 21. Tage weiter, in nicht wachsenden „Hinterstücken” jedoch nur bis zum 7. Tage. Entsprechend ist auch die Zunahme in Hinterstücken geringer (etwa 50–60% des Anfangsgehaltes) als in Vorderstücken und kernlosen Zellen (etwa 100–130% und 80–150% des Anfangsgehaltes).

Die Prozesse, die zur Beendigung der Synthese von Chloroplasten-und löslichen Proteinen führen, werden erörtert.
