Case report of grand mal convulsions following more than 150 electric convulsive treatments: A clinical and electro-encephalographic study

Summary

Seizures following electric convulsive treatments are a complication which might be avoided by the judicious teamwork of the electro-encephalogram and the clinician. To avoid this complication, electro-encephalograms before and during convulsive therapy help the clinician decide on the frequency or discontinuation of the treatment.
