The Psychiatric Quarterly Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

A study showing increased homosexuality in old men has been presented. It reviews the pertinent literature, besides giving the findings on old men observed over a year. The controls were 23 matched old women. The presence of a reversion to adolescent patterns stressed the concept ofsuper-ego inhibition being present. The concept of a “syndrome” is introduced to help classify hypochondriacal phenomena found in elderly persons.
