Summary
The flow of simple fluids through open channels is investigated by means of perturbation method. It is shown that fluids of second grade have the same velocity distribution likeNavier-Stokes' fluids. Fluids of third grade lead to corrections of the axial velocity distribution. Secondary flow takes place only in case of fluids of fourth grade.
