Synthesis, molecular weights and infrared spectra of some scandium(III) higher carboxylates

Summary

Anhydrous scandium(III)carboxylates of general composition SC(O2CR)3 (where R = C11 H23, C13 H27, C15H13, C17H35 and C21 H43) have been synthesized in aqueous solution. Hexacoordinated monomers are suggested on the basis of elemental analyses, molecular weights and i.r. spectra of the complexes.
