Summary

The plants in which 4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)2-butanone and itsβ-d-glucopyranoside have been identified are summarized. The biogenesis of raspberry ketone, from the phenolic acid pathway is described.

Zusammenfassung

Die Pflanzen, in denen 4-(4-Hydroxyphenyl)-2-butanon und seinβ-d-Glucopyrano-sid nachgewiesen wurde, werden zusammengefaßt und Überlegungen zur Biogenese des Himbeerketons, ausgehend vom Stoffwechsel der Phenolcarbonsäu-ren, beschrieben.
