Superfluid liquid model with triplet pairing for superdeformed bands inA∼130–150 region

Abstract

The superfluid liquid model with triplet pairing is applied to the analysis of the superdeformed bands inA∼130–150 region. A two-parameter expression for theγ-transitions energies allows a description, good in the A∼150 region and rough for theA∼130 nuclei, of the experimental data. The introduction of the third parameter gives considerable (especially in theA∼130 region) improvement of quality of the description close to or within experimental uncertainties. In this superfluid liquid model the appearance of the superdeformed bands is a consequence of the nuclear matter properties, rather than a shell model feature.
