Summary
The carbon-hydrogen determination made with the Coleman Model 33 Analyzer has been improved. Cooling of specially designed absorption tubes, combined with programmed weighing, and the use of helium as the sweep gas, result in the error being independent of time of weighing and weight of sample. This eliminates systematic errors and substantially facilitates the work of the analyst. The operation of the automated instrument is simple and the results are very accurate for both elements.
