Conclusions
The reactions of 2-alkyl- and 2-vinylthiobenzimidazoles with tertiary cyanoethynylcarbinols are accompanied by heterocyclization with formation of subsituted 1,3-oxazolidino[2, 3-b] benzimidazoles.
