Mode selection by etalons in external diode laser cavities

Abstract

Uncoated diode lasers of different structures are operated in external cavities with Fabry-Perot etalons as dispersive elements. Mode selective properties of the system are investigated. The emission bandwidth has been reduced below 0.4 Å without a decrease in total power output.
