Diffraction of light and lens effect of the stellar gravitation field

Abstract

The purpose of the present communication is to consider the focussing of light by gravitational ‘lenses’ (stars). Finite estimates of the gainq on the optical axis (r»0) can be obtained with an account of diffraction of light.
