Determination of chloride in chloride salts of some drugs using the chloride-selective membrane electrode

By means of the direct method an accuracy of ±0.05 pCl can be achieved. For more accurate measurements the potentiometric titration is to be preferred. In the second part of the paper the determination of the average activity coefficient is dealt with and some problems of the measurement are discussed.

Zusammenfassung

Die chloridselektive Membranelektrode wurde zur Chloridbestimmung chloridhaltiger Arzneimittel auf direktem und indirektem Wege benutzt. Mit der direkten Methode kann die Bestimmung mit einer Genauigkeit von ±0,05 pCl durchgeführt werden, für genauere Messungen ist die potentiometrische Titration günstiger. Im zweiten Teil der Mitteilung wird über die Bestimmung der mittleren Aktivitätskoeffizienten berichtet sowie einige Probleme der Bestimmung diskutiert.
