Abstract

The ability of five collembolan species to distinguish and graze selectively on vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhiza (VAM) has been verified. Four species preferred the food infected by VAM fungi. All collembolan species showed more of less significant preferences for one species/isolate of the VAM fungi.
