Abstract
Quantum interference effects and their influence on rf SQUID behavior in the nonhysteretic regime are considered. The SQUID response to external fields is investigated for different values of parameters and a comparison is made between experimental and theoretical data. A classification of operation regimes of a superconducting ring closed by a weak link with rf excitation is proposed which may be useful in describing rf SQUID behavior.
