Abstract

Adolescence is a transitional period that occurs between puberty and adulthood. To make a healthy transition into adulthood, adolescents need to have easy access to healthcare and education and a friendly environment both at home and in society. Adolescent-friendly services are not a familiar concept in Bangladesh as they are treated as a healthy group of people. They often feel depressed as they have no available resources to solve the issues that they face in their daily life. In this paper, we present a prototype of Bondhu (), a cloud-based intelligent virtual assistant for Bangladeshi adolescents. The cloud service stores all users’ data that data considered as a knowledge base for future responses to the users. The knowledge base will improve by analyzing global users’ responses. It acts as a virtual friend to deal with mental health challenges and guides them to express their negative emotions, thereby easing anxiety.
