Abstract

Cryogenic Transition Edge Sensors (TESs) based X-ray microcalorimeter (TESs calorimeter) is one of most promising detector types that is able to bring high-quantum efficiency, high-spectral resolution (energy resolving power), and imaging capability by making an array. TESs are a sensitive thermometer functioning at the phase transition of superconductors. In this contribution, the general description of TESs calorimeter and use cases in X-ray astronomy will be presented.
