Abstract

For lots of overseas oilfields, in order to objectively, quickly and effectively evaluate the oilfield water injection development effect and fully reflect the oilfield water injection situation, it is necessary to have a set of scientific evaluation index system and evaluation method, which is convenient to analyze the specific problems existing in water injection development and point out the direction of next adjustment and optimization. Current common methods involve many evaluation indexes and complicated calculation methods, and some indexes or weights are subjective, which makes it difficult to apply them in practice. In order to get better effect of water injection development evaluation for overseas oilfields, seven evaluation indexes were optimized, including monthly injection-production ratio, net injection percent, water flooding reserve utilization degree, monthly natural decline rate, formation pressure maintenance level, oil increase ratio, and water cut change. In addition, the details of the normalization processing of the index data were improved. On this basis, the radar chart analysis method was used to carry out a rapid and quantitative comprehensive evaluation on the water injection development effect of five typical overseas oilfields of CNPC. Moreover the development effect were sorted and the problems existing in the water injection were analyzed. Finally the direction of future adjustment and optimization was pointed out. The results showed that with the improved evaluation indexes, the evaluation result of radar chart method was more clear, which had a good guiding significance for the evaluation of oilfield water injection development effect and future adjustment strategies.
