Abstract

China is rich in offshore oil and gas resources, but due to the poor engineering environment of offshore platforms, environmental protection requirements are very strict. As the largest developing country, China has been striving to build an oilfield industry that is sustainable for people and nature, so the treatment of Polymer-bearing wastewater from offshore oil fields is a very necessary work. Offshore oil and gas fields have great potential for enhanced oil recovery.

6 In heavy oil recovery, each additional point of oil recovery is equivalent to the discovery of a new oil field. Polymer flooding is one of the important engineering means to enhance oil recovery in recent years. In offshore oil fields, the main difficulties are lack of engineering water resources and engineering water treatment, which limit the effect of enhanced oil recovery. It is found that the chemical pretreatment of polymer-containing wastewater can basically meet the conditions of secondary use. At the same time, the chemical pretreatment can reduce the solid plugging and mechanical impurities in polymer-containing wastewater and reduce the risk of recycling and plugging. This paper mainly studies the chemical pretreatment methods of polymer-containing wastewater, analyzes and compares the recycling and utilization effects of treated water obtained by different methods, optimizations of the chemical pretreatment methods for different types of polymer wastewater, and forms measures that meet the effects of offshore oil and gas production, environmental protection and enhanced oil recovery.
