Abstract

The complex surface and geological conditions of Sichuan area brings the single velocity modeling method cannot obtain the accurate velocity Models, affects the seismic imaging accuracy and brings challenges to structure identification and reservoir prediction. In order to solve the problems, the research were conducted on VTI anisotropic velocity modeling based on a smoothed surface for duel complex area, were developed and characterized by define reference plane close to the actual surface, velocity model fusion obtained by micro-logging constrained tomographic inversion, fine characterization of gypsum rock VTI anisotropic velocity modeling and so on. Practical application of field data have demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed method, The effect of dual complex seismic geological conditions on velocity inversion is better reduced, the imaging accuracy of seismic data is improved obviously, which may be helpful for oil and gas exploration and development in duel complex area.
