Abstract

In recent years, with the continuous increase of exploration and development efforts, good natural gas resources have been discovered in southeast Ordos Basin, and a number of gas wells with high gas production have been drilled. Among them, the gas test open flow capacity of the Benxi Formation in Well S104 reached more than 100 × 104 m3/d, which shows the development potential of the Benxi formation sandstone reservoir. Tidal sand dam sedimentary microfacies is developed in the Benxi Formation, the sand bodies are small in scale and are elongated and discontinuous. The content of quartz in detritus is 98.9%, the pore types are mainly intergranular pores, the average porosity is 6.7%, the average permeability is 0.7 millidarcy, the reservoir physical property of Benxi formation is good, and the single well production is high. On the basis of geological research, combining with the data of production test and production performance of gas wells, then using dynamic analysis method, empirical method and RTA method in this paper, it is comprehensively proved that the rational production rate of vertical wells in the Benxi formation in the southeast of the basin is 1.3 × 104 m3/d in the first three years, with a decline rate of 34.8% in the first year, an average decline rate of 28.8% in the first three years, and a cumulative production of 2357 × 104 m3 in 15 years, as a result, effectively guiding the development of gas field.
