Abstract

Typological division and reconstruction of the spatial-temporal distributions of archaeological cultures are the first steps toward a better understanding of the content and character of Taiwan’s prehistory. The typological cultural sequences of prehistoric Taiwan represent the spatial-temporal dimension on which internal prehistoric cultural interactions, as well as external maritime cultural diffusions and influences, will be analyzed and understood.
