Abstract

Botulism is a serious foodborne life-threatening intoxication caused by ingestion of foods containing botulinum exotoxin which is a neurotoxin. It is a public health problem. Outbreaks of botulism are serious. Respiratory distress and paralysis in botulism do not allow time. Treatment has to be initiated before laboratory diagnosis to save life.
