Abstract
The chapter discusses India’s problems related to environment protection vis-à-vis business; current and future issues with ideas of tackling them. As a developing country, India has always faced the dilemma of development versus environment.

Bhopal Gas Tragedy: Bhopal is the capital of the centrally located province of Madhya Pradesh. On the night of 2–3 December 1984, poisonous Gas Methyl Isocyanate (MIC) leaked from the Union Carbide pesticide plant.
