Abstract
In drawing to a close this book, we reflect on the material that has been presented here, on the concept of decolonisation as an appropriate, useful and ethical approach to peace and conflict studies, and the benefits for the discipline of incorporating Indigenous knowledge into the study of peace and conflict. Links between advancing self-determination and peace will be drawn in the search for justice for Indigenous peoples. The suggestion by Moana Jackson (2021) that we need to move from decolonisation to an ethic of restoration will be used as a model for reviewing the work that has been incorporated in this volume.
