Abstract

The concluding chapter synthesizes insights for policy education from Parts I and II of this book. The chapter draws from experiences of the authors in teaching policy-related modules and courses as well as conducting policy research in Asia. The chapter uses a framework from education to organize key findings from the chapters around content, pedagogy and their linkages. The insights from all chapters can be placed under three broad themes: 1. Gaps in integration of policy research, practice and education, 2. Propositions from theory and praxis to bridge the gaps, and 3. Integration of components of Pedagogical Content Knowledge.
