Abstract
The theory of executive responsibility and leadership is deeply related to the formulation of a common purpose that is the condition of establishing a formal organization. Executive functions have two aspects: technical and moral. Executive responsibility and leadership are an executive art to integrate the two. This chapter explains the nature of executive responsibility and leadership. It then explores the definition and nature of moral and responsibility. Subsequently it examines the executive abilities required of executives and how executives handle the conflict of morality, before explaining the importance of moral creativity. Finally, the chapter points out that creating morality is the essence of leadership that enables a cooperative system to survive in the long term.
