Abstract
The power distribution system is to provide cost effective and environmentally friendly good power quality to customers. The distribution system integrates renewable energy resources (RES) without effecting the environment and reduces the peak demand, but distribution network becomes complex. This paper shows a comparative study of renewable energy source in distribution network. This paper shows the different challenges that is faced by the distribution network with the integration of renewable energy. Distribution power flow, distributed generation, energy storage system, microgrid, demand side management are explored in this paper.
