Abstract

Buses are integral means of transportation in India today. In the era of digital India, people move cashless and prefer digital payment. Public transport must adapt this technology. Though the services provided are satisfactory, we need a smart and reliable system. Major issues faced by the passengers are waiting for the bus, non-refund of balance cash, over loaded buses, etc. Thus to provide agile and smooth ticketing experience, we have proposed a smart application that will allocate seats for the passengers, can reserve tickets digitally, and the mode payments will be cashless. Thereby, promoting digitalization and smart cities initiatives. The source of users will be added automatically when connected to the device at the bus stop. The user can check the availability of tickets and select the seats. If selected seats are not vacant, then the algorithm will automatically allot the seats that are available. The user can book seats only if they are connected to the device at the bus stop and can make digital payment through the portal. The ticket booking will generate an E-ticket as an acknowledgement that will be verified by the conductor at the time of boarding.
