    It’s forecasted by the UNDP in evaluating the progress toward the attainment of MDGs. According to the statistics released by the UNDP in October 2016, measured against the poverty line of USD 1.9 per person per day, the incidence of poverty in urban and rural China stood at 1.85% in 2013, with a poor population of 25.11 million, far below the previous forecast.
