Abstract

This chapter reviews the dual economy approach and how it corresponds to the West Bank. It emphasizes how conditions in the West Bank depart from the suppositions of the reviewed models. The structural differences between modern and rural sectors are brought to light. The findings are neoclassical reasoning over-generalises the concepts referring to facts, and subsequently, under-explains the case.
