Abstract

Hamilton equations are the subject of the second chapter. The notion of Hamiltonian is first recalled and the Hamilton equations and conservative systems are then reviewed. The expression of the Hamiltonian is given in different coordinate systems. Two exercises are then solved, namely on a particle in a plane with central force and on a harmonic oscillator.
