This park is located in the border area of Bamingui-Bangoran Prefecture in northern Central African Republic near Chad. It has a core protection area of 17,400 km2. The outstanding value of the park is its diverse flora and fauna. The savannah within the park is home to many kinds of wild animals, including black rhinoceroses, wild elephants, cheetahs, wild dogs, red-fronted gazelles, buffalos, and various species of birds.
