Kuiyuan Tao (1934–) is a researcher at Nanjing Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Land and Resources and a doctoral tutor and major in volcanism research. His main publications are ‘Volcanic Lithofacies Tectonics’, ‘Basement Structure of the Southeast Coast of China’, and ‘Intrusive Igneous Rocks and Mineralization’. Since 1996, he has engaged in studies of tourism earth science, geopark planning and earth science popularisation. He has compiled 8 tourism earth science books for people at different levels and has published more than 30 tourism earth science papers.
