Abstract

In future mobile communication, adaptive smart antenna is one of the important key technologies. In this paper, beamformation of smart antenna is investigated using microstrip antenna array. Least mean square (LMS) algorithm is used for adaptive beam formation. Linear antenna array of 30 elements and 40 elements is used for beam generation at 28 GHz. The radiation patterns at different angles are presented. Performances of microstrip array in beamforming of smart antenna system are presented here. Low-side lobe levels are achieved for 3-sector cellular network.
