Abstract

The technological advancements in the field of computing are swiftly bringing a paradigm shift in education system across the globe. The term ‘Education’ today is replaced by ‘Smart Education,’ wherein teaching–learning resources are connected with each other. With the emergence of IoT, interconnecting objects of everyday life has become an easy task. These connected objects work in synchronization and can be controlled using handheld devices. Due to its ubiquitous and scalable nature, IoT is finding its application in almost every area of human life. The prospective applications of IoT are invading today’s world, initiating a pedagogical advancement and bridging the gap between the real and the virtual world by bringing together all the objects of everyday life under a single umbrella of IoT. This paper proposes an effective IoT model tailored for an educational environment to make the task of teaching and learning more simple and efficient.
