Abstract

Institutional systems of school education have become a key way of inheriting knowledge of traditional ethnic cultures around the globe (Cao & Wang, 2007). Studies of introduction of ethnic culture into schools (e.g., Yan & Li, 2007) have found them to be successful in achieving goals such as cultivating students’ self-confidence, and have linked psychological changes with inheritance of ethnic traditional culture.
