Abstract
We now have an understanding of some of the history of the development of absenteeism as an indicator of school effectiveness. But how has absentee data been used in more recent time? A continuation of the TDSB story enables us to present how the Board organizes absentee data and what their research tells us about its relationship with other indicators, including achievement data.
