Abstract

As a mathematics educator, I have encountered numerous challenges in school teaching. These have ranged from a lack of collegiality among adults in a school community, a lack of resources, and flawed leadership structures, to a rigid focus on testing, not for the sake of student growth, but rather for school evaluative and ranking purposes.
