Definition
Philosophy of higher education is concerned with specific problems arising from the existence of various higher education institutions (i.e., universities, colleges, etc.). It addresses the philosophical questions concerning the nature, aims, and problems of higher education. It is a branch of practical philosophy which is connected to the discipline of philosophy and educational practices as well as psychology, cognitive sciences, social sciences, and other relevant disciplines.
