Abstract

The purpose of this article is to summarize results on enzyme regulation in photosynthesis that have been obtained in our laboratory since the 1980 Photosynthesis Congress held in Halkidiki, Greece. The results center on enzyme regulation in chloroplasts (the ferredoxin/thioredoxin system) and in the cytosol (studies related to fructose-2,6-bisphosphate or Fru-2,6-P2) of leaf parenchyma cells. Before turning to those results, I shall briefly review the pertinent literature.
