Abstract
A brief description of the formal history and practical steps in elaboration of the Mount Faro Astronomical Observatory Project as well as its scientific instrumentation is given. The Observatory will consist of 2.1 m, 0.75 m and 0.6 m diameter telescopes and an auxiliary building for reception, workshops, administration and other services. Double-fold scientific and social-educational nature of the Astronomical Center, whose full operation is foreseen for 2003, is noted.
