Abstract
Acting in an “environmentally responsible way,” or acting according to the “principles of environmental ethics” is taken by most people to be the most important and the only possible contribution to overcoming the destruction of our natural environment. Such behaviour consists in a person attributing a particularly high value to the conservation of nature, and believing that the “right attitude” only is able to guarantee a solution to environmental problems.
