Abstract
The field of dismantlement and destruction of conventional weapons is one in which Germany has gained considerable experience during the past few years, especially as a consequence of German unification in 1990 and of the subsequent reductions mandated by the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE Treaty).
