Abstract
In the previous chapter the transport of particles of a pcllutant in groundwater has been considered in general, with particular emphasis on the most important transport mechanism: advection. Two other physical phenomena in this transport process are adsorption to the soil particles and dispersion. In this chapter these processes will be considered in some detail.
