Abstract

In mammalian cell culture, various materials have been tested in order to optimize conditions for particular outcomes, such as those for proliferation, differentiation and cryopreservation. Recently, animal cell culture has become more important in both the industrial and medical fields. There is eager demand for factors that are more convenient, more economical and non-hazardous to humans. In this study, we investigated the bio-active protein sericin which is derived from silk.
